Peter Jessee - May 29, 2008

Today was a better day for Peter. We were able to sit him up in bed about 4 hours over the day. We were able to do physical therapy 3 times today. Keep the text messages coming, It really keeps his spirits up. We have been accepted at Craig Rehab center in Denver. They want us there by next Wed. June 4. So the goal right now is getting him stable enough to travel by air. We will need to have this done by next Monday and the doctor must sign off. So we are trying to arrange flights now and Peter seems very determined to meet this goal. We feel very fortunate to be able to get him in to the Craig Rehab center. Below is an article that discusses this rare occurrence and the doctor that is mentioned in the article is Peter’s doctor. Peter has always drank a lot of water. They are giving him fluids intravenously. The IV alone has been equivalent to about 24 cups per day and I would have to say he is drinking another 24 cups of water on his own. So there is lot of fluids going through his body.

As Forrest Gump said ” That is just one less thing we have to worry about.”

Good night and keep the prayers coming. They are working.
