August 14 Update

By Bud | August 14, 2008

Today we are headed for OKC to check out some advanced physical therapy at the OU Health and Science Center. We are anxious about this appointment and are very hopeful that it will be beneficial for Peter’s rehab. We also have scheduled Quest to Walk in Overland Park, Ks on Aug 25th. We will be there for two weeks. We are hopeful that these two centers will be the type of therapy that we are searching for.

There have been many answered prayers and angels sent to us since May 23rd. God sent his angels again yesterday evening. Our hockey community in Tulsa has come through for Peter in a huge way. Sly Naud and Mike Ishmael came by to deliver the proceeds from the hockey tournament they had to benefit Peter’s recovery. The funds they raised were remarkable. This will help Peter receive the best therapy available. The facility in Overland Park is not covered by insurance. This will enable him to obtain their expertise in SCI therapy. We want to thank our hockey family for everything they have done. The funds will be a huge help, but the best help was when we were at the rink last Sunday evening watching some of his friends play a game and everyone there came up to Peter, hugged him, told him they loved him and they were all praying for him. It made him feel really special and made him feel that he was still the Peter Jessee they knew before May 23rd.. Thanks to everyone in the TYHA hockey community for your love, support and prayers.

He will walk again
Bud
