October 12 Update

By Bud | October 12, 2008

“CLEVELAND ROCKS” Hello from Cleveland, OH. We are here to run test at the Cleveland Clinic starting tomorrow, Monday morning. Hopefully these test will determine if the blood flow to Peter’s spinal cord is flowing properly. We are also hoping that these test will determine the exact cause of the blood flow disruption to Peter’s spinal cord and with these test, hopefully it may be an answer that might prevent it from happening again and possibly help those that have had this occurrence happen to them. As far as we know, there has not been any other victims that have pursued further testing after the original diagnosis. For those that know Janet and me, we are not ones to take just one explanation of a situation. We try and pursue every avenue for an explanation. We hope we get some answers here.

Again the community support has been miraculous. Tuesday Peter and I were guest of the Local Association of Life Underwriters, better known as Tulsa Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. President John Ramsey, a State Farm agent in Tulsa, initiated our attendance and the members there raised some funds for us at the luncheon. These funds were a big help for this trip to Cleveland. Members of this organization have shown that they really care for people, so I encourage all of you to contact your insurance agent or one of these that are members of this fine organization and discuss your personal insurance program. Don’t risk having something happen to you or your family and not have the family income protected. The stress of medical needs don’t need to be compounded by financial needs. Thanks to these life insurance agents for protecting families all over Tulsa and helping Team Jessee.

Wednesday night was a special night at the Oiler Ice Center. Peter dropped the first puck to start the 08-09 high school hockey season. Easton Woods, BA hockey player and good friend, wore Peter’s jersey. Number 22 with Jessee on the back of the jersey was gracing the ice once again. There will be a day when Peter will be under that jersey again, but of course it will have to be in the men’s league. Again we can not thank the hockey family enough for all they have done to help Team Jessee.

Friendship and family go back a long ways and once you have graced the farm land of Kansas and drank water from the Spring River, you are always part of that southeast Kansas family. I need to thank one of my family originally from that southeast corner, my life long friend, Doug Eaton of Tulsa, for helping provide some Rapid Rewards on Southwest Airlines to get us here to Cleveland. Thanks Doug and Jan.

We ask your prayers tonight, Monday and Tuesday for God to direct the doctors in their process to discover the cause and the cure of Peter’s situation. Hopefully with their discovery, it can speed up the process of Peter’s recovery and help many others that this devastating occurrence has afflicted. We know that faith in God, your prayers and Gods medical doctors…………………………………

He will walk again
Bud
