Peter is continuing his therapy five days a week. Monday, Wednesday, Friday at OU med center for an hour, Tuesday and Thursday he has pool therapy in the mornings and regular therapy in the afternoon. He is still doing some assisted walking on a walker at OU and is able to move his legs on the treadmill in the therapy pool. In the pool we had the treadmill running at the slowest speed possible which is .1 and this week we have doubled the speed to .2. Means progress. Today in regular therapy at St. Johns, while working on crawling he raised his hips and was able to move his leg through in the air forward on his own. The right side was working a little better than the left, but he was pulling the legs through on his own.
The holidays are tough when you are in this type situation, but Peter had some good friends save the Thanksgiving weekend. Wes Moody, Carl Salazar, his sister, Sarah and Paige Grayson spent Saturday night watching the OU/OSU game with Peter. He had a great evening especially since OU won. Sorry OSU fans but please keep us in your prayers. Then on Sunday afternoon we had some special friends, Neil and Diane DePlue from Frontenac, KS pay us a visit. Their visit was also perfect timing.
Prayer groups are still saying prayers for Peter and I want to say a special thanks to the Merry Hearts in Columbus, KS. This is a group my mother belongs to and their prayers are special to us. Another group that is special is Nadine Hearn’s group in Florida. These ladies are all close to God and have been praying diligently since this happen and we really appreciate all their prayers. A co-worker of Janet’s was attending church in Pittsburg, KS this past weekend and guess who’s name was on their prayer list. Yep, there was Peter’s name. We can’t thank you enough and we really appreciate you keeping the prayers going. We know God is listening and it is only a matter of time before…………………
He will walk again
