I know it has been almost two weeks since I have sent an email. I have been waiting for the right moment and the right moment has arrived. Peter had me print out a paper for his English class tonight and I thought it put a lot of things in perspective. It is the attachment titled “Last Year.”  Please read. I am humbled. Also attached are pictures of Peter at St. Johns therapy with one of his therapist, Brad Potts. Two of the pictures show Peter on his knee walker and he was able to knee walk 140 ft. today. The other picture is Peter on a walker with Brad helping him. When we get the braces in the middle of Feb., he should be able to use the walker with less assistance.  

 
Peter also received an email this week from a young man in Florida that has experienced the same injury as Peter. Dennis Fortner of St. Augustine, FL is a remarkable young man that would not let this injury get the best of him when it occurred in August 2004. He told Peter that Peter is showing the same progression as he did. Dennis hip flexors were the first to come back and that is where Peter is today. Gradually and with months and months of hard work and positive attitude, Dennis is walking again after 3.5 years and has been accepted to physician assistant school. His email came at a needed time for Peter. It has rejuvenated him to keep pressing on to recovery. Thanks Dennis and just like you……………………..
