  3. Peter,

I use the updates from your Dad as inspiration for any of my daily “struggles”. Keep fighting hard and God will continue working through you to find some peace in this terrible tragedy.

I really enjoy the pictures, and you’ve grown up to be a real man. It also makes you look better to have your Dad next to you in all the pictures.

    We pray for you always.

  7. Peter,
Things can and will get better, my mother lost feeling and her ability to walk shortly before your trip. Monday the 21st she took almost 25 steps with a walker.
You have a great circle around you.

  8. Hey Peter,

You are such an inspiration to so many people. I don’t think you realize how many people are looking up to your strength right now. Your story should have it’s place in the bible. Keep believing in yourself and God will give you strength. Take one day at a time. We are all praying for you.

  10. Hi Peter,

Just wanted to drop in and say hello and give you some hope. I was diagnosed with SM in ‘04. It will take lots of time, patience, family support, and most of all….a POSITIVE attitude. If you keep it up, I know you’ll walk again. I was paralyzed for 2 months and did PT for 3.5 years, but I’m walking again. Please feel free to contact me.

  13. Hello Peter (and family). Coincidently our family was in Honolulu the same week that you were and my 23 year old son, Zach, experienced the same injury as you (on May 20, 2008). He spent 4 days at Straub Hospital and a week at the Rehab Hospital of the Pacific before returning to our home in St. Louis. He continued outpatient physical therapy for about two months. Miraculously, Zach has had a fairly rapid recovery. Praise the Lord!!! He is not yet at 100%, but is still optimistic that more healing can occur. If you would like to visit with us, or Zach, please tell us how we can reach you. Meanwhile, we will keep you in our prayers. I believe our prayers were answered and yours will also be answered. God Bless You!!!

  16. Peter,
I am so happy with your progress. I started to feel numb in my life and your story gave my strength again to forge ahead. You are a HUGE inspiration to my life. God chose you to be an example for the rest of us and maybe it wasn’t in the way you desired but you will soon understand. Keep dreaming and living life out loud.
